Our Take

Predicted: Texas in 2

ASU Steals College Station, Now Heads to Austin

Arizona State walked into Aggieland as a 2-seed and walked out with the trophy — 8-0 over McNeese, a 4-3 upset of host A&M, and a 9-1 hammer to close it out. Texas, meanwhile, didn't allow a single run in three games at home: 9-1 over Wagner, 9-0 over Wisconsin, 7-0 over Baylor in the title. That's a Kavan-fronted staff with a 25-run differential walking into a short series against an ASU lineup that just outscored Texas A&M 13-4 across the regional.

X-Factor

Game 1 sets the tone. If ASU can keep the Texas lineup in single digits, this becomes about whether Kavan can give Mike White seven innings twice. She has all year.
