Mississippi State Brings TWO Top-50 Arms To Eugene

Our Pick
Oregon
UPSET WATCH

Lombardi's 20-4 Big Ten season earned her a contract through 2030. But Mississippi State has Alyssa Faircloth (231 K, 4th nationally) AND Peja Goold (2.12 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 169 K) — the most pitching-rich 2-seed in the bracket. Saint Mary's Odhi Vasquez is a Top-25 ranked arm at the 3-seed line. Oregon's Lyndsey Grein and Sokolsky are good — but this regional could absolutely flip.

X-Factor

Whether Oregon can solve Faircloth's 231-K stuff in Game 2. If MSU wins it, Oregon climbs out of the elimination bracket against a fresh Vasquez. Hard regional to bet against the host but easy to bet for a Sunday rubber.
