Duke Hosts The Big 12 POY And A 35-HR Marshall Team

Our Pick
Duke
UPSET WATCH

Marissa Young's Blue Devils made the ACC Tournament semis, but this regional has TWO genuinely scary lower seeds. Arizona's Sydney Stewart is the Big 12 Player of the Year (.573 OBP / 1.034 SLG / 20 HR / 76 RBI — Top-10 nationally). Marshall set the program record with 89 HR and Sun Belt POY Sydni Burko (18 HR) at the 3-seed line. Duke is the favorite at home but this is the most dangerous regional on the entire board.

X-Factor

Cassidy Curd's pitch count over the weekend. Duke has one true ace; Arizona and Marshall both have bats that punish second pitchers. If Curd has to go twice in 24 hours, this regional flips.
